Congratulations to Dr. Susan Waltz!

Dr Susan Waltz, Professor in the COM Department of Cancer Biology, has been awarded a competitive renewal of a Veteran’s Affairs Merit award.  The Merit award is entitled “Ron receptor tyrosine kinase signaling in breast cancer.” The study will examine the role of tumor cell intrinsic RON receptor tyrosine kinase expression promoting the progression of breast cancer progression through effects on both the tumor proper and the tumor microenvironment.  The award was originally funded in 2010 with funding slated to continue through 2027.
